We Who Produce Pearls: An Anthem for Asian America
This book is full of stanzas that refer to different times in Asian American history, although honestly, I am not sure I would have known that unless I had read it from the back of the book. I did understand that many Asian Americans have a story to tell of their heritage, and how it is hard to be heard by others.
What I enjoyed about the book was the vivid illustrations. I liked how the book told the stories of Asian History. I want to learn more by studying the back of the book that tells how to find out more about the important events in history as well as the famous people that shaped Asian Legacies. The back of the book is really what helped to make sense of the beautiful story.
