Viminy Crowe’s Comic Book
Addy Crowe’s uncle, Viminy Crowe, is an author and illustrator. One day, while feeding her pet rat in a cafeteria, a boy named Wylder Wallace spills something on her dress. When Addy goes into a bathroom to clean up, she is teleported into her uncle’s comic book. Wylder follows and is teleported into the comic book, too. Wylder had grabbed Addy’s copy of the comic, and as they surf through the pages trying to get out, they start messing everything up. The story is completely changed and the characters start thinking for themselves. The evil Professor Lickpenny has taken the gold from the Gold Rush Express. Will Addy and Wylder be able to get the gold back? Will they be able to return the comic book to the way it was before? Will they ever learn to get along?
This book had a great way of getting complete strangers to become the best of friends. I liked the way the pictures were drawn, and how they told part of the story, even when it wasn’t telling you the story, and sometimes the pictures acted like actual pictures that didn’t actually tell part of the story, too.
