Those Kids from Fawn Creek
The same thing happens every day in Fawn Creek, Louisiana, and every kid in the seventh grade has been divided into the same old groups since forever. Every day stays the same, until a new girl named Orchid Mason shows up in school. Orchid is kind and pretty, and she once lived in New York City and Paris. Even though everyone in the seventh grade really likes the new girl, something seems off about her. What could it be? One thing is certain, no one new has ever moved to Fawn Creek before.
This story felt so real that it got me hooked! The words flowed well together, and it may seem sort of slow paced near the beginning, but the end has all the drama and surprise! My favorite characters are Greyson, Didi, and Orchid, because they seem like kind people. My least favorite character is Renni, because she does not seem like a kind person. I recommend this book to people who like middle-grade chapter books and for the ones who like books with a school-based story.
