This is a Job for Mommy!

I really liked This is a Job for Mommy by Keegan Connor Tracy. I loved the words and the pictures, and I loved all of the fun things that the mommy got to do. I learned a lot of new words and what kind of jobs they were, like cartographer and Ufologist. My favorite job that mommy had was an inventor and an oboist. I didn’t know it, but my mommy played oboe, too. I think the pictures are really fun and colorful. The little girl looks just like the mommy, and I like that she is in all of the pictures. My favorite picture is the one where mommy is a fisher and she is holding the giant crab. It’s funny. My mommy showed me that it was an ABC book, and I liked to find all of the matching letters on the pages with the jobs that the mommy had. There is a silly cat in every picture, too, and I really like cats. It’s fun to try to spy the cat in every picture and see what tricks he is doing. Cats are my favorite animal. Some of the jobs I didn’t really understand because they had big words, but my mom tried to explain them to me and the pictures helped me to understand them better. I wish that I could make pictures like that because the painting is so pretty. I didn’t know that there were so many different kinds of jobs. I’m not sure what I will be when I grow up, but I know that I want to be a mommy. I am happy that I got to read this book and keep it. My mom and I have read it for a few nights in a row, and I put it on my iPad so that I can read it and look at it in the car, too. Thank you for this book.
