The Incredible Plate Tectonics Comic: The Adventures of Geo, Vol. 1
The Incredible Plate Tectonics Comic: The Adventures of Geo, Vol. 1 is a book about a kid named Geo. He imagines he is a super hero, with a jetboard, a super suit and an awesome robot dog. One time, he saves a blind woman from falling into a manhole, but in his imagination, he is saving a geologist from falling into an erupting volcano.
Geo has a test at school about plate tectonics and he passes because he studies hard and imagines himself in a place where volcanoes erupt everywhere and earthquakes occur frequently. This book teaches you about the plate tectonics (the earth’s plates and how they move and shift) through Geo’s imagination. This is a graphic novel with entertaining pictures of Geo as a super hero.
I didn’t really like this book because it is not as interesting as I expected. It is a good book for kids 6 to 8 years old, but after that, kids should already know everything it is trying to teach. It’s very educational if you don’t know anything about plate tectonics.
