The Hero Two Doors Down: Based on the True Story of Friendship Between a Boy and a Baseball Legend

This is an awesome book about the true story of the little boy who lived two doors down from Jackie Robinson in 1948 when Jackie Robinson was in his prime baseball playing days. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to live next door to one of my heroes, but that is exactly what happened to eight year old Steven Satlow. Steven was just like any other regular eight year old who loved baseball more than anything. He loves the New York Dodgers more than anything.

I can relate to this story because I am a huge Detroit Tiger fan. I don’t even know what I would do if Miguel Caberra, Justin Verlander, or David Price moved into my neighborhood. After reading this story I have been having some pretty cool dreams about the possibility.

This story was written by Sharon Robinson, Jackie’s daughter. So it has a lot of true facts. It is well written and easy to understand. I would recommend this story to my whole baseball team and any other of my baseball loving friends.
