Hi, my name is Farrah and I read the book Diary of a Mad Brownie. It is about a brownie named Angus Carins form the Enchanted Realm. He loves to do human chores. When he gets assigned to a 10 year old girl named Alex, things don’t go as planned. Angus sneaks into Alex’s room and cleans it (she has the world’s messiest room). Alex freaks out and calls the police and ends up getting in trouble for it. Soon, she finds out about Angus and gets really mad about it. But since Angus has to stay with Alex until she dies, he has to stay. Angus and Alex really annoy each other. Alex’s big brother, Bennet, and her dad both get very upset about the curse. Dad starts writing songs and Bennet starts writing poetry. Then, Angus explains the curse and Alex makes him leave. But the curse keeps him from leaving and he faints.
Then, Angus, Alex, Bennet, Destiny (the little sister), Lorna Kincaid (Destiny’s teacher) and the ancient Princess of Sunshine all travel to the Enchanted Realm and return the Princess of Sunshine. The Carbarts are rewarded, while Angus is kept and punished for breaking every part of the Oath of the Brownies. When they come back home, Alex starts to miss Angus but soon Angus returns and agrees to be Alex’s brownie forever.

I think that this is a very funny, magical book and I recommend it for ages 8-11.
