In this book, there is a boy whose mom who just received a shipment from a dig site in China. The boy spent the night at his friend’s house, but in the morning he didn’t know where his mother was. They check everywhere, but they can’t find her, or the other scientists, or the shipment. They call a detective and try to solve the case. This is a fun book where you can go along with the characters and have fun reading it. The characters pick up clues that they don’t know are clues, but you can start putting them together if you catch them! This book is suspenseful but not very scary, and it is funny too. The friends work well together and they make a good team. My favorite part of the story was the end, when they find out what happened. It was a good conclusion. I didn’t like the parts that were kind of scary, like where they were about to be found out, but those kept you more interested in the book to see what was going to happen next. This is a fun mystery that kids will really like.
