Teddy Mars Book #1: Almost a World Record Breaker
This book is about a boy named Teddy Mars, who wants to be a world record breaker. It takes place during the school year. Teddy has a big family. He lives with his parents, his six sisters, and his little brother Jake, a.k.a. “The Destructor”. His favorite book is The Guinness Book of World Records. Teddy’s parents actually let him live in a tent in the back yard. He also works for this grumpy old pigeon man. He makes Teddy get up early in the morning to help him. Teddy’s twin sisters get in trouble for switching schedules at school. Teddy’s little Brother Jake runs out on the soccer field during his sister Maggie’s game. He actually tries to stick 100 rubber bands around his head in one minute. He also tries breaking the record for running with a table in his teeth, and with a lady on it. I like this book because it’s funny. It’s warmhearted. The chapters are kind of long. Teddy has lots of crazy adventures. I think this book is best for 7 to 10 year olds.
