Sumo Kitty is growing old living in the heya, and is not as quick to catch mice and he used to be. Sumo kitty would like to have someone one to pass his tricks down to and help catch mice. When someone brings home a smelly puppy, this is not what Sumo kitty had in mind. The smelly puppy is loud and barks all the time and is not good at catching mice. Sumo Kitty tries to teach her but it just doesn’t workout. The puppy doesn’t seem like she is meant to be there until she saves everyone from a fire, and she earns the title sumo puppy.
This is an adorable book and I really like the illustrations. I love that sumo kitty is able to have a friend and someone to teach to catch mice. This was the most unexpected sequel, but a very good one.
