Ruth and Naomi (I Can Read! / Adventure Bible)

This is another book from Zonderkidz and the Adventure Bible series. Ms. Michelle told me this story from the Bible a long time ago at homeschool chapel. I was pretty little when I first heard this story. I liked it then, and I really enjoyed reading the story in this book. The pictures by David Miles make me feel happy like I know the characters. It is an important story in the Bible, because Ruth decides to stay with Naomi, who was the mother of her husband. I like the part when she says “I will go with you. Where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people. Your God will be my God.” The theme is about being loyal to the people you love, just like God stays loyal to us. This is an interesting story to me. If you like reading picture books based on Bible stories, then you are going to want to read this book. It is easy to read, with not too many words on each page.
