Rogue: The Paladin Prophecy Book 3
A science fiction adventure full of action and excitement! Rogue is about a kid named Will who is trying to stop his Grandpa from bringing back the Elder race which is trying to destroy the Earth. The Grandpa wanted to bring the Elder race back because he thought that they were good and that they wanted to give mankind all of their gifts. In fact, the Elder race wanted to destroy Earth and recreate it using hybrid creatures and plants that they could rule without question. Will and his friends travel to the realm of the Elder race to stop them from coming back. “That’s a lot to ask us to take on faith alone,” said Ajay, Will’s friend, as they prepared to travel through a portal to the dimension of banishment to stop the Elder race. To stop the Elder race, they destroy a machine called the Carver, which the Elder race tried to use to make a portal to Earth.
One of my favorite parts is when they rescue Dave and then escape the Elder race. I liked that part because Dave whips out a key, which transforms into an automobile. I give this book 4 stars because of the action moments. What Mark Frost could have done better is to have the Elder race a little different than just a weird creature riding a snake thing. The book is part of a trilogy and is the final book in the series. This is a science fiction story and would be good for young adults ages 12 and up.
