Palace of Books
If you like Patricia Polacco’s other books, you will like this one too. Palace of Books is awesome. It’s about a girl who really liked books but couldn’t quite read yet. She wanted to be able to read so badly. The story is a fairy tale of sorts, perfect for younger kids but enjoyable by anyone who appreciates the power of a good book.
It’s hard to find fault with a book like this because it’s just so utterly creative and original, a delightful surprise for any true book lovers. It’s a good addition to personal libraries, definitely one sweet enough to return to again and again. The illustrations are on par with Polacco’s other books, detailed enough to be interesting but not overwhelming to the senses.
