Junk Drawer Physics: 50 Awesome Experiments That Don’t Cost a Thing

I picked ten experiments to try. Some were like magic tricks. “Unspillable Water” worked well. (I think it would be cool if there was a guy stuck on a mountain, and he couldn’t come down, but he needed to get a bucket of water down to a guy, directly in his cup. All he had was a long rope and a bucket full of water. He could use this experiment!) Green, blue, and red light make white in the middle. Pulling the grocery list by the corners hurt my fingers. When I added coins to the middle and pulled fast, I could tear it. The “Straw Oboe”was my favorite. (Ewwww. Who farted?!) Just a balloon and the top of a bottle make something to shoot pom poms. I like the experiment where you see lots and lots of candles that go on forever. The catapult was not my favorite. For that experiment, you just need a block of wood, tape, spoon, a clothespin. I don’t really have a junk drawer, whatever that is. Some of the materials were easy to find in my house. I couldn’t do these experiments by myself, like lighting a candle. People who like science would like this book. These experiments were awesome! I want to do more! 100 out of 100 stars!
