I Give You the World
This book is written by a mommy for her baby, who is just born. She wants to give him something as a gift when he is born, and she realizes that the best gift is the world with all the nice things in it: the early morning light; the animals you would see on a farm, such as piglets, frogs, dogs, and baby birds still in the nest; and the water mammals, like dolphins and whales in the ocean. The high mountains covered in snow and the eagles flying high in the sky. And then the seasons: the spring breeze blowing through the flowers, the summer rain with its rainbow, the colorful fall with the leaves falling and all animals preparing, and the cold winter with its snow. The moonlight and all other magical things that are in the world.
I think this is one of the sweetest books I have ever read. I think it is for younger kids than me because they would love snuggling in mommy’s arms and reading about how nice the world is.
