This is a very cute book about a little girl named Sophie and a goose named Goose. Who has ever heard about a goose named Goose? Let me know if you have…well, actually, the author and illustrator Laura Wall wrote another book which was called Goose.

In this book, Goose Goes to School, the little girl Sophie feels scared because geese can’t go to school. I have never seen a goose at my summer camp school! Sophie goes to school, but she feels lonely without her best friend Goose the goose. “Sophie’s first lesson is the alphabet. She tries to listen, but she wishes Goose was with her.” My favorite part was that Goose went to school! “Soon the other children want to play with Sophie and Goose too. Playtime is so much fun with Goose.”

The illustrations in this book are colorful and bright. I especially like how the illustrator drew the character of Goose. This book does not have a lot of words, so it would be a good book for younger children. I think my little brother David will enjoy this book, because he loves geese and all other birds!
