Foods of the World
This is an informational book about varieties of foods. This book was very educational and taught me about the different types of foods around the world. It includes farming crops, how that helps people live, different cooking techniques and different eating customs around the world. The book also stated many different types of foods and the history and backgrounds of those foods. I think this book deserves four stars because it was very educational. I would recommend this book for ages nine through twelve since some of the words were very complicated. If you’re in this age group or somewhere close to it, you like food, and you like informational books, this is the perfect book for you. The author included interactive activities in the book as well. Even though some of the words were complicated the author seemed to simplify the book a little bit so that some younger groups could read it with some help from an adult. The illustrations (done by Jocelyn Kao) were excellent and were distinct. You could easily tell what the illustration was. All in all, Foods of the World was a great book. It is perfect if you want to learn something today.
