Encyclopedia of Animals: for Young Readers (Encyclopedias for Young Readers)
Encyclopedia of Animals for Young Readers is a big book with lots of pictures and words about animals. The book has six categories of animals, including mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles, and invertebrates. Each category has a picture of each animal with a label and then a small paragraph with some information about each. The mammals and invertebrates have the most types (five) and the fish have the least (one) besides the amphibians who have no other types. Most of the pages include information on nine animals in each category.
Encyclopedia of Animals for Young Readers contains lots of information about animals, so if you wanted to know something about one of the animals in the book, you could learn a little bit, and then find out more stuff in other places. With this book being lots of information, there is no story included. The pictures of the animals and the pages are colorful; I liked learning about the different kinds of birds and butterflies.
