Diez manzanas en la cabeza! (Ten Apples Up on Top! Spanish Edition) (Beginner Books(R))
This rhyming, fun tale all starts out with a lion balancing two apples on his head. The dog thinks he can do it too! As they gradually put more apples on top, the dog and lion jump rope in treetops, walk on telephone wires, and skate, hop, and drink with eight apples up on top.
I adore all Dr. Seuss books but am just a beginning student of Spanish, so I was excited to read a book I already knew well in a language I know less well! It was fun to read alongside my English version and much of the vocabulary will be easily recognized by a beginning Spanish student, for example, the numbers 1-10, apples/manzanas, head/cabeza, but you might need to look up some of the more obscure words like demolish/derribar or exploit/proeza.
The pictures and story are adorable, so whether you are older or younger, a native Spanish speaker or just learning Spanish (like me!) you will all enjoy this funny picture book.
