Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid: Rowley Jefferson’s Journal

This is Rowley’s diary. Does this sound familiar? Maybe a bit like Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Well, Greg thought so too, so Greg convinced Rowley that instead of doing a diary, he should write a biography about Greg instead. This is a great way for the boys to make money. So Rowley agrees and writes all about Greg instead. Since Rowley is best friends with Greg, the adventures that he writes about are the adventures that they have together. After telling all the good stories, Rowley starts to tell about some of the not so good stories and we end up back with his diary.

Just like all of Jeff Kinney’s Diary of the Wimpy Kid books, this book is very funny. The characters are relatable to any middle schooler. The situations that the boys face throughout the book are everyday things that happen. This is an amazing book that any Diary of a Wimpy Kid fan would really enjoy, and it was nice to read about Rowley and see his perspective since he has always been a character in this series.
