Countdown Zero
Countdown Zero is about a kid who is a spy for the government. After the skirmish in the first book with Olek and Mule Medlock ends, middle-school student Carson goes back to normal life at his school in South Dakota, until he finds a note in his food at lunch, which says, “Agent Nineteen has seventy-two hours to live. Meet on the school track in six minutes.” He goes on a field trip to Mount Rushmore, where his adventure begins. He does all kinds of cool things, like he gets these really awesome fruit roll-up explosives that he uses to stretch around metal grates to get inside of the ventilation shaft so that he can get into dangerous places.
This book is amazing!!! I thought it was great it because it has a lot of stuff that I like, such as snakes, explosions, and lasers. It is not really necessary to read the first book to understand and enjoy this book. This book has all sorts of excitement, including imploding secret bases, apocalyptic viruses, and enemies that double-cross Carson at every turn. I highly recommend it to everybody.
