Big News! (Emma is on the Air #1)

Hi.My name is Faith. I have been reading Big News! (Emma is on the Air #1) for 2 days, and it is a very good book. This book is about a girl named Emma. She is trying to solve the mystery of the worm burger. A boy named Javier was eating a hamburger. He can’t eat pizza. When he took the first bite, no worm. When he was about take the second bite, there was the worm! Javier started screaming. Everybody was screaming. The boys were laughing. The girls were screaming and pretending to throw up. The boys were pretending to throw up on the girls. Then Geraldine the lunch lady came over. She asked why everybody was screaming. Emma said,”Javier has a worm burger!” Everybody started laughing.The lunch lady took the burger and everybody went back to lunch.

When Emma went back home, she had found a news story. She wants to become famous. She made a video about what happened at lunch. Two days later, she was doing interviews with Ms.Thompson, Javier, Geraldine,and Beatrice the cook. After Emma interviewed Ms.Thompson, Emma interviewed Beatrice the cook. She said that when Geraldine gave the the burger to her, it had no worm. But it was in a cardboard box. And that box had dirt in it. And that’s where the worm came from.

I think this book is great. My favorite part is when Emma decided to become a news reporter. So,I think Big News! (Emma is on the Air #1) is for kids ages 7 to 11.
