This author is an artist, and she makes her own ideas and she makes her own world, and every single day she starts a new world and has new ideas. She looks at the real world for inspiration. For instance, she says look at factories – you can think about what factories make, and if you want you can make your factories be the shape of what they make. She had a pencil factory that looked like a pencil, or a spaghetti factory, or a peanut factory. She also made a hotel for her friends to stay in, with every thing they needed. Instead of stairs she put a slide! She has lots of animals, and makes people out of different things, like paper or a stack of rocks. She makes lines to make people look like they move swiftly or slowly, or like how they are feeling. The pictures are really pretty drawings, and they give you suggestions for how to make your own world. The author does this when she’s bored or when she’s waiting in lines. This is a great book because it inspires you with making things however you want!
