This is a book about a boy named Sam and his Grandfather who visit the zoo. Sam’s Grandfather is using his phone to take pictures of Sam and the animals. Sam and his Grandfather get some popcorn to eat and sit down on a bench. They get tired, and both fall asleep. The zoo closes and they are still inside asleep! The animals come out of their cages and have a party. The ostrich takes the Grandfather’s phone. The phone gets passed around to different animals. The monkey takes pictures with the phone. When the phone rings, it scares the monkey and he drops the phone. The animals knock over a trash can and it wakes Sam and his Grandfather up. A security man working at the zoo hears the noise and finds Sam and his Grandfather. Then they leave. They realize that they lost the phone, then a bird drops it to them. At the end, they see all of the pictures of animals on the phone. I liked this book. It is a very easy book to read but the pictures also make this book fun to look at. Some things happen in the pictures that they do not say in the words. Some of the pages are only pictures. I think this is a great book for someone who is just starting to read.
