Stop the Clock!

It all started when a boy was at home; his mom was hurrying and in a panic, which made the boy feel sad. Luckily, he got to school right on time, and his teacher was hurrying the class to finish their pictures of what they saw on the way to school. The boy was being rushed with his picture and decided “I don’t want the clock anymore!” After that, time stood still and he noticed a lot of things that he didn’t see before. The boy got his chance for things to be calm and then time started back up.

I loved this book because it’s exciting. It’s exciting because time doesn’t actually stop in real life, but I got to see what it might be like if it did. The story overall and the words in it were both easy to understand. The story was too short, I wanted to hear more of it, but I liked the happy ending. The pictures in the book aren’t very bright, but more like watercolor. There are lots of different kinds of people in the pictures.
