The Keeper is about two children and three ominous letters. James and Ava have recently moved to Oregon from Texas. When the children start getting letters from the mysterious Keeper, they know time is running out. Can they save themselves and their family before it is too late? The Keeper is a good book but quite terrifying. It is a well written story, but you can never know whom to trust. It has good characters and has excellent descriptions. I like that the characters are not black nor white, but more varying shades of gray. Starting slow, the plot rapidly gets more exciting so you want to keep reading. I think people who like terrifying mysteries should buy this book. I would recommend people eight to twelve years old should read this book.
