How Do Computers Follow Instructions?
How Do Computers Follow Instructions is a great book for readers who want to learn more about how a computer works. I would like to be a computer engineer when I grow up. This book helped me to understand that Java is just not some type of coffee my parents drink, and python is not just a snake. The humourous text helps to answer questions from a young reader’s perspective and helps one to better understand how a computer works. The vivid illustrations help readers to visualize exactly how a computer processes instructions from a user and how binary code works as the computer’s “language” and is translated in the central processing unit. I especially enjoyed the wacky illustrations of children inside the computer to get a deeper look. This book also has portraits of examples of modern-day inventions that use programming. This book is a great addition to a S.T.E.M. classroom or a home library. Another great book published from Flower Pot Press, with the author J.T. Liso, from Tennessee, our home state!
