Snow Pony and the Seven Miniature Ponies
Snow Pony lives on a farm and is special because she can braid hair and perform shows. Children come from far and wide to see her, but her favorite child is Charmaine. One day, the gate to the stable is left unlocked. A pony named Queenie who is jealous of Snow Pony points a trail of apples leading deep into the forest. Snow Pony eats the apples and becomes lost. She eventually comes upon a stable with seven miniature ponies. She lives with them for a while but then decides to try to find her way home. Happily, the ponies come with her.
This is a version of Snow White with horses, which means I love it! The seven miniature ponies are all different colors and all have different jobs taking care of the stable. For instance, one of them gathers the water and another tends to the herb garden. My favorite is adorable, purple, and wears glasses. The pictures in this book are very detailed and colorful. I especially like the thought bubbles and the sparkles around Snow Pony. People who like ponies and fairy tales will like this book because together those two things are awesome!
