Army Brats
Army Brats is an exciting, fun-to-read book about a family and their recent move to an Army Base. Their mom works with the US Army, and they have moved a whole lot before, but this is their first experience living on base.
The Baileys consist of Mom, Dad, Cupcake the dog, and the kids, Tom, Charlotte, and Rosie. After everyone slowly adjusts, Rosie makes a discovery that multiple dogs have gone missing. Through her investigation she even makes a new friend, and together they try to find out more about the missing of Pepper and Buddy. While the girls find more clues, her brother, Tom, has his own troubles with the bully Chase. Tom outsmarts Chase with the help of his siblings, family, and some new friends. There is also a creepy house on base that all the kids make crazy rumors about and that all the parents warn them to stay away from. As weird coincidence has it, all these incidents connect, and the Bailey kids are in for one crazy adventure!
I really enjoyed this book because it had a lot of things I relate to, like moving a lot. I think this would be a great read for kids nine years and older.
