The Homework Strike
I think that The Homework Strike is a good book. It is about a seventh grader named Gregory K. He believes that students have too much homework. He wanted to change that, so he decided to go on a complete homework strike, even though his friends weren’t exactly supportive. At first, he just started to not do homework and he was happy. After a while, he started to get a plan. He started campaigning and slowly started to get supporters. More and more people found out about the strike. Soon, it spread across the whole city! Gregory K. was soon in the newspaper and was even on TV! The word was spreading. Not only his voice, but the voices of many other kids were being heard. After tons of hard work and effort, a solution finally came. I really liked The Homework Strike. I like how the character Gregory K. is very relatable. I think that a lot of kids would also agree with him about homework. The problem is also very relatable. Overall, The Homework Strike was a good book, and I recommend it for ages eight to twelve.
