The Great Sock Secret
One day, Sarah’s mother decides to search for lost socks. What Sarah does not want her mother to discover is that these fairies have taken all the lost socks. What they were using the lost socks for was they were using them for sleds, for blankets, for shower curtains, for sock races, and for sleeping bags. They were using them for clothes and parachutes and towels and all sorts of things. As they look in the different rooms, Sarah distracts her mother so her mother won’t find the fairies, or the socks. Finally, when Sarah’s mother looks in the brother’s room, they find lots and lots of stuff, but only two socks. She said, “We found two socks; I guess that’s better than nothing!” But now she wants to look for the missing pens. Guess who has those pens?
It is really fun to see how the fairies use the socks in so many different ways. The pictures are funny and very creative. It’s fun to think about where all the missing socks might go. I wonder if there are a lot of sock fairies in my house?
