Bicycling to the Moon
Bicycling to the Moon was the funniest book ever because there was a lot of excitement in it. Purdy (a cat) and Barker (a dog) try to bicycle to the moon by riding on the moon beam rays. But the rays went right over a lake, and so they fell in. But don’t worry, Barker saves Purdy from drowning. Purdy makes Barker take a bath in the lake everyday because she doesn’t want their blue house on the hill to get dirty. But Barker doesn’t like to bathe in the cold water, so he tries to trick Purdy into thinking the lake has dried up. The whole book is filled with funny stories about their life together.
I also loved this book because there were lots of pictures in it. The drawings are happy and funny and help bring the story to life. They are drawn in the same silly way that the story is written.
My favorite part about the book is that is was always fun to read. My favorite story was when Purdy ate all the gross things and he thought he would have super powers.
I would recommend this book to my friends and my teacher.
