The Crown Affair
Jack and Jilll fall off the hill because the ground is shaking and booming, and before they wake up, Jack’s crown is gone! So, Jill asks Joe Dumpty to find the crown. All Jack can say is, “Jack! Jack! Jack!” First, he checks the Sprat’s house, but Jack Sprat isn’t the thief. Another Jack breaks his foot trying to jump over a candlestick when the ground shakes. At another Jack’s house, he finds Goldy Locks house-sitting. Goldy tells him that he might be able to catch Jack at the muffin shop. Joe Dumpty keeps on finding more and more Jacks, but will he ever find the right Jack and solve the mystery of the missing crown?
I like this book because it’s a mystery. Joe Dumpty keeps getting more clues, and has to follow them to find out who really took the crown. It is really funny that this story takes place in all the Mother Goose rhymes, and the people in the book are from the rhymes. The pictures are really funny, too. I think people who like mysteries and people who like Mother Goose will like this book.
