Banished Sons of Poseidon
Banished Sons of Poseidon A story about a male teenager that has to steal a mystical stone that everyone had deemed impossible. He realizes that he belongs in the underworld because of his many adventures. The plot focuses on the journey to rescue Caleno the princess who is trapped in the sky and needs Dam (the teenager) to rescue her.
The characters in this story were very realistic and easy to relate to. I can not imagine what it would be like to be in Dam’s place when he was stealing the stone from those horrible serpents! The language and dialogue was believable and kept me hanging on to the story. I enjoyed the descriptive language the author wrote to explain some situations. The moral for this story is if you set a goal and persevere you can achieve it.
There were no illustrations for this book except for the title illustration which looked confusing to me. As for age recommendation, this book is suitable for ages 12 – 15. I recommend this book for teens because even though I couldn’t follow the plot that well, I still found this book fascinating. This book definitely keeps you wanting more!
