Water Rolls, Water Rises
This book talks about the ways that water can rise and flow and move. The pictures are really pretty, because I really like water painted. It shows water exploding out of a geyser, and a spring. Water rises in a fog and rises in an ocean wave or falls in a waterfall or rises in the water spray. It rolls in the waves around a ship or it flows through a garden through canals. It even rests in reservoirs. It also shows how people do things in and around the water, like sail on it or water their crops or fish in it or get it from a well.
This book is very poetic as it talks about all the ways water moves. Each picture is described by a little sentence that is like a little poem. The pictures are painted in watercolors and are very soft, and at the end of the book it tells where the places are that the pictures were painted from. My favorite picture is of the geyser. This book is also written in English and Spanish, so you can learn some Spanish words when you read it.
