MiNRS
In MinRs, the Earth has run out of resources. It creates the “Great Mission” to Perses, a planetoid close to Earth. Years later, the sun goes between Perses and the Earth, and creates a blackout of communications for several months. Right after the Blackout starts, Perses is bombed by space pirates, and Christopher Nichols and a small group of children survive and escape into the vast mines of Perses. The kids find the resources they need to live, but still face the threat of the pirates attacking.
What I liked about this book is that it had the survival and battling elements like “The Hunger Games.” I also liked that there are twists and turns (sometimes literally) in the book’s plot. I also enjoyed that there is sci-fi technology involved in the book that is super powerful for the setting. I liked how the bad guys have brains instead of bad ideas. I like intelligent villains, because it makes the story all the more interesting and adventurous. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy dystopian and sci-fi books.
