All For a Dime: A Bear and Mole Story

There’s a bear and a mole. They are collecting some stuff for skunk, and skunk makes some perfumes. Bear collects blueberries. Mole collects worms. Mole eats the worms. Skunk eats the blueberries, and Skunk makes the perfume. They want to sell their things at the market. Bear sells a lot of blueberries. But nobody wants to buy Mole’s worms, or Skunk’s perfumes. So, Mole says he will sell the perfume, and Skunk says she will sell the worms, and they switch shops, but they keep selling them to each other! Skunk had a dime and they keep switching the dime back and forth. It’s pretty funny!

This book is funny because they worked hard all day but just selling their own things to themselves. The pictures are really funny and I like them because they are fun to look at. The other animals make funny faces because they don’t want worms or skunk perfume. But my favorite picture is the one on the front, because it shows Mole and Skunk both holding the dime. The Bear is the nicest because he buys them ice cream to go with his blueberries.
