Paddington says, “Bears love marmalade!” Paddington was the bear. He came from Peru, and Mr. Brown found him in a train station. Mrs. Brown said, “We can’t leave him there, Henry! What do you think will happen to him?” So they decided to take him home. First Mr. Brown took him to get something to eat. Paddington slipped on a jam tart and got jam and cream mixed all over him. They took a taxi home. The taxi driver was grumpy because he said, “I cleaned my car yesterday!” When they got home, Paddington had to take a bath. It was so full and he said, “Help, help!” and they rushed into the bathroom and they rescued him and they said, “You should have pulled out the plug!” Then he got clean and then he got some new food without getting messy, and then he went to sleep. I like to snuggle with Paddington and tuck him in my bed, and he would say, “Thank you Liesel” and hug me. He never went to sleep in a bed before. He is a nice bear even though he always makes messes.
