Julia, Child
Julia is a girl who likes to cook. She likes eating French foods but she mostly loves to cook it. She has a friend that she likes to bake with. They bake lots of things and they learn how to cook. And they finally make a food that makes you remember what it’s like to be young. But then the grownups made a fuss, because everyone was taking too much food because they all thought there wasn’t enough of it. But the next time they made lots and lots and lots of chocolate cupcakes, and then the grownups behaved – well, they behaved better.
I thought it was funny how in the first part it says that you should take this story “with a grain of salt – and perhaps with a generous pat of butter!” I thought that was funny because those are things you use to cook with. I like the pictures in this book and I also liked this story because she liked to cook and she did it with her friend.
