An Artist’s Alphabet
This is a beautiful alphabet book. It doesn’t have any words; it only has the letters of the alphabet, so there isn’t a story or anything to read. But the pictures are really cool. Each page has a letter on it, and then different pictures are drawn in the shape of the letters. Some of the pictures are of things that start with that letter, like the mountain on the page for M or the houses that make up the capital and lower-case letter H’s. But most of them are just beautiful pictures that are in the shape of the letter, like some fish that curve around to make the letter G, or a long chain and a necklace that make the two S’s. My favorite picture is of the letter D. There is a big fat cat that makes the capital D, and a little cat all curled up with its tail high in the air for the little “d.” This book is so pretty and will be one you will like to look at again and again.
