Thud & Blunder: The Not-So-Helpless Princess
Thud is a girl. She’s smart and strong. Blunder is a boy. He’s stupid and brave. They are adventurers. There is a deafening noise. The king asks for Thud and Blunder. They have to rescue a princess from ogres in her castle. The Royal Senses give them stuff like earplugs and keys. They see an ogre run away from Castle Kidnapt. Then they meet the princess. What is that sound? What is the real problem? What is that stench? Read the book to find out.
I think this book was a little weird. Thud and Blunder are good. The book is a little bit funny. I didn’t like the ending. You don’t know what happens to the princess. The author never told us what the reward was. I like the illustrations. I like Thud’s face. The best picture is the Royal Senses. They look strange. The Royal Senses were fun. I wish there was more about them. In the back, there are discussion questions, a glossary, and writing about the adventure questions. I like the story questions best. If I were in battle, I’d want to fight next to the princess.
