Freddy the Frogcaster and the Terrible Tornado
Freddy the Frogcaster is a frog whose job is to report the weather at the news station of the town of Lilypad. With Spring comes all the crazy Spring weather, and one day the satellite shows some dangerous weather coming in. A hot front is present, and in a couple of days a cold front would be pushing in, with hail, rain, wind, and possibly tornadoes. With a chance of tornado arrives Tad Polar. He is an expert at chasing storms with his special storm truck. Freddy gets from his mom permission to chase the storm with him, and they see it: a funnel-like cloud, touching the ground—a tornado! Freddy is very scared but after a few minutes it is all gone, although there is a lot of damage left behind, including Freddy’s backyard weather station. Tad Polar is very proud of Freddy and offers him to go with him anytime, but Freddy decides he prefers to stay safe in Lilypad and rebuild his weather station for more storm reporting the next time.
I loved this book! It is a story about my favorite topic, tornadoes. And I loved to see how brave Freddy was to be in the middle of the big storm the entire time.
