The Shape of Thunder

The Shape of Thunder is a beautiful story of friendship and grief. Cora is at a loss. Her older sister Mabel was killed and it was all because of her best friend’s brother. Quinn always thought she knew her brother. Soon, though, she realized she did not know him at all. Her brother was a murderer. He killed Cora’s sister Mabel and now her best friend Cora won’t talk to her. Soon something sparks in Quinn, an idea. She just needs Cora to agree. Cora officially hates Quinn, but she has offered her a chance to save her sister. Time travel. Cora has to think about it though. Should she save her sister’s life but have to work with Quinn? Or should she accept Mabel’s death and never talk to Quinn again?

The Shape of Thunder is an amazing read. I recommend it to people of all ages, especially lovers of the beauty of friendship. This book is 275 pages filled with friendship and mystery. It is not my usual kind of read but I appreciated the journey of discovery that Cora and Quinn went on as they processed grief and dealt with their own relationship. Give it a read, it is definitely worth your time.
