The Girls from Hush Cabin

Holly, Denise, Calista, and Zoe used to be friends. That was back before a beloved summer camp closed and the girls made their way through life without each other. But when their original camp counselor dies and the girls are reunited under morbid circumstances, they are forced to confront the lingering feelings between them. Sadly, that’s not the only trouble that surrounds Hush Cabin. Violet was murdered, and the former best friends need to solve it. But when anonymous threats threaten to derail their investigation, the girls have to decide whether or not it’s worth it to solve the murder. Can they uncover the dark secrets of Hush Cabin?

The premise of the story was interesting, and I was ready to be invested in it. But the multiple points of view didn’t flow well, and it was difficult to get through. In my opinion, there were too many unnecessary characters, which made the story seem cluttered and disorganized. The characters’ emotions often felt a bit robotic. The story was readable, but it could use edits in its structure and pacing. I’d recommend this to young adults who are looking for a quick story to read by the pool this summer.
