Didn’t See That Coming
Kiki Siregar has always loved gaming, but she can’t exactly be herself online. To avoid getting harassed by male players, Kiki anonymously plays as a boy. No one will suspect a thing! That is, until Kiki starts to develop an online friendship with another player called Sourdawg. For her senior year, Kiki decides to transfer to a new private school. She soon realizes that her online bestie attends the same school! Between going viral at school, dealing with a very annoying classmate, and getting set up on dates, what is it going to cost Kiki to keep the truth from Sourdawg?
This book was a very easy read, and the story was both predictable and unpredictable at times but still flowed at a consistent speed. Kiki’s personality was so strong and confident there was never a moment I wasn’t rooting for her. The ending was also quite satisfying, and I’m definitely rereading this one. Highly recommended to readers who love strong female protagonists like Kiki. I think this book was a hit for me, and I can’t wait to read the author’s other books!
