Bunt!: Striking Out on Financial Aid
It’s Molly’s first year at Peachtree Institute of Collegiate Arts. She’s psyched to finally go to art school, but then she finds out that her entire scholarship for PICA is gone! Fortunately, Molly finds a way. If she can get nine other art students to join her softball team and win, they all get a befitting athletic scholarship. What happens when you get eleven different artists all in a softball team? Does Molly have a chance at winning?
This book was a hit for me! Molly and her quirky art friends made the story funny, and the art was hilarious to look at – very cute and expressive. I appreciate the details, such as how Molly’s green hair fades throughout the book. Molly’s character was entertaining, but a little immature considering she’s a college student. Bunt! Taught me to never give up on myself, and I’ll be reading more of the author’s books. I recommend reading this book especially if you’re an artist or art student, you’ll find the story very relatable.
