A Taste of Honey: Kamala Outsmarts the Seven Thieves; A Circle Round Book

A Taste of Honey is a story that is excellent. It’s about a young lady who is very clever and outsmarts thieves. I love it when she says “oh you’ll get your gold all right” and then she teaches them a lesson. The story is really good and written in a very interesting way.

The only thing that you might not love about the book is the pictures. They’re kind of cartoonish and they would have been much better in like a watercolor or something more timeless than the computer-looking kind of pictures.

By the time you finish the words, you’re ready to turn the page and not really stare at them. There is a nice amount of detail though, and you kind of feel like you’re in India where the story takes place. In the back there’s extra ideas if you want to learn more.
