The Good Germ Hotel: Meet Your Body’s Marvelous Microbes
The Good Germ Hotel is the perfect book for the time we are living in. COVID-19 has made germs seem really scary, but the truth is that everyone and everyone’s bodies need some germs. This informative book also shows how some germs can actually be good for our health and help to build our immunity against germs that make us sick. Some germs and microbes can be good, like those in our digestive system that help to break down our food so it can be digested and turned into energy. We need a balance of germs and microbes in our bodies to stay healthy. Some antibiotics can kill off bad and good germs, which could make humans even more sick.
I enjoyed the colorful illustrations in this book, which show what is happening in my body. The illustrations are funny and help to make learning about the body and germs more enjoyable. I recommend this book to everyone to help them understand more about our bodies and how we need some germs to stay healthy and strong. We can work with our doctors to make healthy food choices every day!
