All You Need Is a Pencil: The Totally Sick Sick-Day Activity Book
All You Need Is a Pencil is full of lots of crazy activities for times when you are so sick you have to stay home from school and stay in bed. My personal favorite are the drawing prompts. There are some really funny ones. Not all of the activities seem fun – some are a lot like school. There’s a couple of pages that show pictures of paper money, and you are supposed to name what the people pictured on the bills did and if they were presidents or something else. That is so boring! It’s just like social studies. But there are also crossword puzzles and word finds, word scrambles and Top Eleven lists. You can use hieroglyphs as a code and there are lots of doodle pages. So it’s up to you whether you want to do the activities that are a lot like the stuff you do in school or whether you want to do stuff you get in trouble for at school, like doodling.
