Whose Eye Am I?
This book is about different ways that animals see, especially about how animals’ eyes are different and how they see differently and look different. There are pages where you see a big close-up picture of an animal’s eye, and they you are supposed to guess what animal it came from. You could use clues to help you figure it out, like you might be able to guess it is a mammal because you can see fur around the eye, or that it is a bird because of the feathers. Then you turn the page and see if you were right, and then you learn about that animal and how it sees. Most of them are pretty easy, but the lobster eyes were really weird!
The pictures are very colorful; they are colorful photographs so you can see what these eyes really look like in real life. You don’t learn a lot of details about eyes, but you learn some of the differences of different types of animals, so that is interesting and a good way to start learning about them. This book isn’t very long so it would be a good book for younger children to start learning about animals’ eyes.
